Rant.

09Aug08

Who are you talking to when you close your eyes? Who do you sing to? Whose name do you pant fervently when there’s a bump downstairs? Because right now it’s time to face the facts: Do you know  who God is? Because if we had to judge by your life the constant scale that you do your goddamn self-righteous balancing act with, I think the answer is no.

Here’s the thing, God doesn’t fit your perception of reality. You think God lives real-time? God doesn’t even exist in the same time as you! The time you know is nothing to Him, He lives outside of it. You think God doesn’t care if you’re “just lying” or “just smoking”? Realize your own foolishness! You’re ignorant to think that. It doesn’t matter that you could be doing worse things, it matters that you ARE DOING THINGS.

So realize who you’re talking to in your bed at night. Realize that you are small and he is big. Stop thinking you’re right.

Not all of us hold ourselves to be self righteous. And thats big reason why i’m so thankful to God because i know that i am not righteous. I’m not perfect. Nothing close. But Romans 5 says that “while we were still sinners Christ died for us.” And when you say others are wrong in saying he doesn’t care when they’re “just lying”, you’re right. Just because God will forgive you, does not give you the freedom to go around sinning, even though it may be just lying. or just smoking. But if you truly want to live for God, and you truly yearn to be as he is, it would not be “just lying” or “just smoking” to you. All sins are equal in God’s eyes. They’re sin. There is no severity. Lying, is seen the same in his eyes as killing. And that should give people something to think about.

But when you say “God doesn’t even live the same time as you.” Do you not know who God is? Do you not understand that he simply, is. He has never not existed. You may interpret living in human form as existing, and dwelling in heaven as not, but this is not so.

I dont exactly understand why your main point in this rant is. First, you attack the people who worship God for worshiping him while they are sinners. Then you say he does not exist. Then you get into the severity of sins, and then you say he is big, and you are small. If he is big, and we are small, he has to exist?

I’m not attacking “the Christians.” I am a Christian, and I have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus. But here’s the thing, God doesn’t live in the same time as us. Because that would form a beginning of Him and end of Him. His plane of reality is a whole other deal, simply because this reality is not big enough to hold Him and he can’t be with sin, which runs rampant here. If God lived in our time, then predestination occurs. Because God knows what’s going to happen, we have no choice. Due to his existence outside of our time, he doesn’t know before we do it he just knows always but His time has no relevancy to ours. And the simple fact is, God does exist. He is my Savior and although he exists in Heaven, he still is omnipresent and exists everywhere else. The rant is at the “good Christians” who base their salvation on looking saved. I’m not attacking, I’m informing them of how stupid they actually look. The last line, “Stop thinking you’re right”, is based on the simple fact that WE CAN’T UNDERSTAND GOD! Our minds are simple and have no capacity for that sort of thing. I’m not saying “Stop thinking Christianity is right” I’m saying “Stop thinking you’ve got it all figured out.” Because throughout the ages, humans have thought they had all the answers but when new discoveries came along they probably felt pretty stupid. So when we face Christianity with the notion of “I may not have this all figured out, but I’m gonna love Jesus, love people, and love myself so that the Kingdom of God may be furthured.” We stop setting ourselves up for an inevitable downfall, and we start looking forward in anticipation for advancement.
